At Last

I have finished the Herculean and torturous task of finishing late MIL’s church cushions.  I loathed every stitch and if I ever encounter Anchor tapestry wool colour 8204 – I will plead diminished responsibility for whatever  ensues thereafter.

What exhilaration though,  from an onerous task completed.  My brain quickly filled with ideas and I have since completed some late, and now out-of-sync,  journal quilts, (sneaky peek of the deliberate mistake made for October!),(now corrected)

and a quilt top for Binky’s SIL’s baby due in February. Will post pics soon.

The snow is back.  I don’t want it.  It gives me great pleasure to look at my stocks of consumables both human and animal, but worries me that they are in use so early.  I had to dig myself home yesterday, today  the Rayburn reset button needs pressing all the time, and I am supposed to be going to Hampshire tomorrow to get Mum to her first Memory clinic appointment.

  2. Congratulations on completing the cushions. I really admire your perseverance and can only imagine what a relief it must been to put in the last stitch!
We too are surrounded by snow with a full freezer and most importantly extra bags of pet food just in case.
Keep warm and keep stitching (but this time on more fun projects!)

It is lovely to hear your thoughts
